Lifestyle Newborns | Digital vs. Film

Let’s take a look at the difference between Newborn Sessions on Digital and Film!

In my previous post I shared that my go to gift at baby showers is a newborn photo session voucher. Since photos mean so much to me, gifting these session is one of my favorite ways to serve my friends after they have their babies.

I like to give them the option between a fresh 48 session at the hospital and a lifestyle newborn session in their home.

Lifestyle Newborn sessions typically happen at their home, but I'm also happy to do the photos at my own home.

Fresh 48 sessions do a great job at documenting the birth and hospital stay, while lifestyle newborn sessions help document those first few weeks at home with your little one.

For all my babies we have nice photos of them at the hospital, but very few “lifestyle newborn” images. This is mostly because chaos ensues the minute we get home from the hospital and taking photos doesn’t happen while I heal/adjust to caring for a newborn.

So the gallery examples below are client sessions! I have two sample galleries, one digital and one on 35mm film!

Here a few digital images from a newborn session!
